Kemp’s Budget Doesn’t Restore GPB Cut
Jan 18, 2024
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp’s proposed FY25 budget does not restore the cuts to Georgia Public Broadcasting the state legislature pushed through late last session. It does include retention bonuses for state employees that all other agencies have received.
There is no restoration of last year’s cut in either his Amended FY24 or FY25 budget.
Kemp’s proposed FY25 number for GPB of $13.2 million is still about 1.5 million less than its FY2023 figure.
Kemp’s budget is subject to revisions in both the state House and Senate.
